How much walking is there on the tour?

Most tours have moderate walking but most is at your own pace. If this is a concern for you and you have questions regarding specific tours, please call or email us.

What kind of clothes should I pack?

The quick answer is - what you would wear at home and what you are comfortable in is what you should pack. There are some attractions that you should pack some dressier clothes (ex: Broadway play in New York City).

How long are we on the motor coach?

We stop every couple of hours and do not drive over night. The most we will travel on a long day is around 10-12 hours.

Do you rotate seats?

Yes, we rotate seats. Our philosophy is that this not only allows people to get views from around the bus, but gives you an opportunity to get to know more people on the bus.

What kind of carry-on bags can I bring?

You can bring a bag like a backpack, a “green” bag or other small suitcase that does not have wheels.

How much should I tip the tour director and coach driver?

The national average for tipping your tour director and bus driver is $4-5 per person, per day.

How long have you been in business?

We have been in business now for over 20 years!

Do you offer travel insurance?

Yes, we offer optional travel insurance at an additional cost.

 

What is your cancellation policy?

For a full refund, JAG Tours, Inc. must receive written notice of cancellation at least 45 days before the tour. The refund amount for cancellation within 45 days will be considered on an individual basis.

What if JAG Tours needs to cancel a tour based on guidance from health officials like with Covid-19?

JAG Tours’ No-Worry Commitment states, “The safety of our customers and employees will be our top priority in all decisions we make about canceling any tour. If we need to cancel a tour based on guidance from health officials, you will receive a 100% refund.”

Do you offer luggage handling /portage?

Yes, luggage handling is included in the price of the tour.

What type of hotels do you stay in?

The hotels we choose are trusted brands with whom we’ve had great experiences with. Since we’re typically out taking in the sights and attractions, we choose clean, affordable accommodations that don’t add unnecessary cost to the trip.

What are the loading locations to start the tours?

All tours load in Albert Lea, Austin, Dexter, Rochester, St. Charles, and Winona, MN, and Onalaska, WI. If the tour is headed east or southeast, we also pick up in Sparta, Tomah, Mauston, and Sun Prairie, WI.

What does the cost include?

The cost includes the transportation for the whole tour, hotels, and the attractions and meals we list.
